Kyokushin Kaikan is a style of stand-up, full-contact karate, founded in 1964 by Korean-Japanese karate master, Sosai Masutatsu Oyama. Kyokushin is rooted in a philosophy of self-improvement, discipline, and hard training. Its full contact style has gained international appeal attracting more than 2 million practitioners over the last 40+ years.

Chicago "Kanku" Dojo was established in 1988 by Shihan Leslaw Samitowski (7th Dan black belt). Officially appointed by Sosai Masutatsu Oyama in 1991as a USA Branch Chief of International Karate Organization KyokushinkaiKan (IKO). Resigning from IKO On August 7th, 2015, he was officially appointed as a USA Country Representative for Kyokushin World Federation (KWF)

Anatoliy Zadorozhnyy - Head coach and board member of KWF USA. 

Anatoliy started his martial arts journey in 1984 with Shotokan Karate at age of 13. He continued training & competing in Karate, Combative Disciplines, and Kickboxing eventually earning 2nd Dan in Kyokushin Karate. In 1989 Anatoliy joined Army where he received his hand-to-hand combat training.

In 1999 Anatoliy joined Chicago Kanku Dojo and to study Kyokushin Karate under Shihan Leslaw Samitowski. In 2008 Anatoliy began Muay Thai training with Kru Chai. From 2009 to 2012, he worked as a striking coach at Champion Jiu-Jitsu Academy (Spyder Gym).In 2017, Anatoliy started Ballistic Budo Club focusing on Kyokushin, Kickboxing, and practical applications of martial arts for self-defense.
